How Are You Spending Your Hols?

At long last, I've finally updated my dead blog! And may I stress that this is due to the exams and re-exams; yep you heard me right, because I missed the 1st exam ma... x_x

So anyways, a whole week later, I'm finally enjoying my well-deserved holidays! Wanna ask you guys & gals (those who somehow are patient enough to wait for me to update) - how are you spending your holidays? O.O""

As for me, I've spent this week running up and down the island of Singapore getting things done everywhere. From sending in my sister's phone for servicing at Causeway Point in Woodlands, to sending in mine for servicing at Junction 8 in Bishan, to booking lessons at SSDC in Yo Chu Kang, and to accompanying my girlfriend to replace her damaged bankbook at POSB in Yishun (darn machine folded the pages and printed on it)!

Actually, all the above were done in a single day. So the rest of the time has been spent at home recuperating my tired legs. Hehehe...

I wonder... How many of you are taking part-time jobs during this 1 month break? I'm thinking of taking up some part-time work, for experience. I've done retail before, so wanna try something new. Still thinking... =.=?

Well, that's it for today. Once again, thanks a lot for sticking in with me! I promise I'll update more frequently from now onwards. ;P

Reminiscence

For today, I'd simply like to reminisce my happy old days back when life was so much simplier. This evening, as I was playing my old korean songs after dinner,

/* Maria by Kim Ah Joong,
Ya Ya Ya by Baby V.O.X ,
Like A Candy and Jakku Jakku from the TV series - Love Truly,
Be My Love and She Is from the TV series - My Lovely Sam Soon */

I suddenly felt a yearning to go back through time and relive those days when I was still a happy little naive Secondary School student. Although the restrictons were aplenty, but the joy and happiness felt back then was genuine, unlike most of the time nowadays. Perhaps the only time when I'm really happy these days are when I'm with my darling, Pei Qi. She's my source of happiness, comfort and love. And I just love her so...

Which brings me to the question of the day - "How can one try to stay happy amidst the increasing harshness of reality with the coming of age?" These recent couple of weeks, my mood
has taken a severe beating as the pressure of the semestral examinations approaches. Am I going to give up and revert back to my old emo self? Or can I overcome all obstacles and stay happy? Only time will tell, but I've got a strategy planned out already. ;P

P/S: I love my mum very much too! She's the greatest woman on Earth, mind you! [:

Has This Ever Crossed Your Mind?

It was half past four. I was on board bus no. 962 bound for Woodlands Regional Interchange to meet my darling, Pei Qi, at Causeway Point for my ex-classmate's birthday party. So-called...

It was then, staring through the window & gazing upon the open mellows, that I realized a funny inverse proportion in the human life cycle. Has this ever crossed your mind before?

When Adam & Eve sinned againtst God, God punished them to toll the lands & experience great pain during childbirth. And they lived for close to a thousand years of age. It is also true that people nowadays hardly even manage to hit a hundred years-old. Pastor Rony Tan says that this is due to degenerative mutations of the human cell over the span of several thousands of years.

So where's the link, you say? Could it be... That the amount of 'suffering' that we experience here on Earth, be inversely proportional to our live spans? Back when man led a simple life of farming for their food, they lived for hundreds of years. Now, after life has gotten so complex, we only live for around a hundred years or less (most of the time, less).

Could God have a fixed general 'punishment-for-man quota'? And as the 'suffering' increases, we also get to live less of it here on Earth. Was this also part of God's plan? Could this be another form of God's hidden love & mercy he has showered us with?

I'm truly astounded by his wisdom & love & mercy! Thank you, God! (:
